KEER SANDS TESTIMONIALS

To all you Wonderful Ladies,

Just a little note to say thank you for all the care you gave my Mum in the two years that she was at Keer Sands. I know that I genuinely couldn’t have found a better place where she was able to live in comfort and happiness surrounded by the most loveliest and carding ladies. It gave me complete peace of mind as soon as she moved in with you after many years of constant worry if I wasn’t with her. I know she kept very much to herself but she loved the times when you popped in to her room for a little natter and a bit of a crack. I’ll never forget you all and the care you gave Mum.

A really heartfelt thank you.

Love from Jillian xxx

To all the wonderful girls at Keer Sands,

Words can’t explain how grateful we all are for everything you have done for Thelma. You’re all very special people who will hold a place in Thelma’s and our hearts. Even towards the end when struggling to meet Thelma’s needs you would go above and beyond - it speaks volumes.

You’re an amazing team. Thank you.

To Anne and all your team,

We will never forget the love and care you gave to Mum. You are truly amazing. You make the final months of your residents lives so special. All the lovely activities gave Mum a quality of life. We hope she didn’t clear you out of Bailey’s! As a gesture of our thanks we hope you all enjoy the gift of an afternoon tea. We have 14 tickets so you can go in smaller groups so it’s easy to manage. We will miss the group chats. We wish you all the best and just want to say a final…THANK YOU.

With much love from Shaun, Abi and Fiona xxxx

Our mother went in to Keer Sands in January 2022 when she was no able to independently stay safely at home. The care she received from the very first visit from Anne, in her own home, to the day she died on 7th August 2022 was phenomenal. They treated Mum with dignity and love. They treated her as an individual, quickly realising what she liked and ensuring she got exactly what she wanted and/or needed. Mum enjoyed home cooked meals, a comfortable room and was kept immaculate. They went above and beyond what might be expected and when Mum had hospital visits, Anne would take her and stay for hours making sure she wasn’t scared or alone. When her health really deteriorated and she became agitated, they sat with her while she went to sleep. There are endless examples of the love and care they give at Keer Sands. The love and care did not stop with Mum, it extended to families who live very far away. Very regular updates on the family WhatsApp group Brough reassurance with news and photos of Mum participating in events put on by the staff. In the latter days regular updates by phone and WhatsApp were much appreciated. When we got up to visit they made us very welcome. At the end we got up on the Friday evening and saw Mum. We spent Saturday with her and then on the Sunday we arrived at 10.45am and Mum passed away 15 minutes rarer with us, and at our request, Anne by her side. Anne supported us through this very difficult time and was so respectful and kind. Anne and all the staff are amazing. We will always be grateful to them.

Thank you Anne and team. From Fiona x
